I have very long hair genes for a black woman! I am wondering do you think my children hair can reach the lenght of mines, or do you just think that they hair will be little bit shorter since their father hair was short.
why are you asking us how long your child`s hair will grow??? Are we suppose to know? Plus your basing your child`s hair growth on the short length of the father`s hair.......hello.....most men keep their hair short anyway, so hair can you possibly base it on that.

First of all, When i said the father has short hair, I don`t mean the lenght of it, I mean he have short, slowing hair genes! DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And look, if you have long hair, that just means you have long hair. I guess you was just bless with long hair, like I was bless with really hair anyway. Okay, It is noting that you got long hair, and is not noting to talk about that much because anyway i really did get my long hair from my Grandmom, and she was mix. And I am sure you got you`re long hair from somebody that was a little mix up with something.

comment:.............Sorry Honey, but why do you assume someone has to be mixed with something to have long hair? My hair grows because I choose not to put chemicals and relaxers in it. Black hair grows just as fast as white peoples hair. The only difference is most black women opt to put relaxer`s in their hair in order to manage it better. The relaxer is what weakens the hair and some side effects are breakage of the hair, but our hair still continues to grow at a normal rate.
Do you assume people who wear dreads and afro`s are mixed too?

Not to be starting anything (I am serious) but am confused, Peach.
You`re asking if we think that your child will have long hair because you have long hair genes and the father has short hair genes.

Now, since you said that, then why would you think that your child`s hair growth would be determined by genes? If she does turn out to have long hair, wouldn`t it be because she is blessed with long hair, and not because she has long hair genes? I don`t know. You said it, not me.
I personally think that if you take care of her hair, keep it healthy, it will grow to be long like yours. Also, you don`t have to rush and put a perm in her hair. If you do let her get a perm, make sure that you keep it up and put the right things in her hair. I hear that a lot of people use kiddie perms because they are milder, so that would probably be the best option for a child.

I think that anyone can grow long hair if they take the right steps. But it was funny, how you just blew up. Heeheee! I totally understand you though.
