Can anyone recommend a good thermal protector that is affordable. I would like to be able to buy it at wal-mart, sally's, or a drugstore of some sort.

Use a hair product with thermal heat protection that contains silicones[silicones end in the word methicone].Silicones protect hair from heat because silicones seal and smooth hair's cuticle. If your hair's cuticle is damaged [worn away]silicones may not protect from heat.PVPs damage hair.

How do you know if your hair cuticle is damaged? Like, what will it look like? And what are PVP's?
