Gorilla Glue Tipping with Bulk hair

Ok this is how I did it:

These are my supplies: Gorilla Glue, poster board, and cheap paint brush, and nail glue (not pictured).

This is cutting the hair off the bulk piece: Yes I work on my computer desk...lol...I hung the bulk piece of hair from a scrunchy on my computer speaker and snip off what I need. The hair is synth, WAWA from Vixen Wigs on Ebay.

This is brushing the glue on: the paint brush works really well at controlling how much glue you use. Gorilla Glue dries VERY slowly so you can do alot of tips before you need to go back and roll them.

This is the tips drying: OBJECTS IN PICTURE APPEAR BIGGER THAN THEY ARE...lol

It takes about an hour for them to get tacky enough to roll. I waited till they were completely dry before putting the nail glue on. When their completely dry I snip the tip and make them nice and pretty.

lol its Gorilla GLUE not hair and the hair is synth, WAWA from Vixen Wigs on Ebay...sorry, should have been more clear. The glue is found in your carpentry section of most stores.

I think this stuff is a little more powerful than Elmer's wood glue, since it says it can be used on stone, metal, and ceramics.  Sounds like it works on porous and non-porous surfaces.  I bet your local OSH, Home Depot, or Lowe's would have it.

That GG will swell up like a mofo. Can't wait to see what they look like
cured.

How ya like the looks of the WaWa?

Shaman, I was pretty sold on the LG too because of its fast curing time
and ease to roll with the fingers but I suggest the Super Bond by Proclaim
that Amanda used for pretipping.

I bought mine at Sally's Beauty Supply for .89 cents a .75 oz bottle. It
comes out of a closeable spout and it doesn't get stringy like LG. I think
the Proclaim smells like ass but it works amazingly well. It's chalky white
but dries perfectly clear, even on the darker hair I pretipped last night.

I think using the paint brush really helps in keeping the amount of glue you use down. Here is a picture of my tips after 24 hours and they are completely dry and rock hard, they didnt swell at all, they're the same size as when they were wet.

Yikes sorry its so blurry but if you compare it to the one above, those are wet and these below are dry.

I guess Im getting pretty good at pre-tipping ( I should be by now lol) I dont have to trim but a few after they cure. I still like LG because it dries faster, but with the GG there is no shipping, you have a longer working window since it dries slower and it dries rock hard like the pre-tips Ive bought in the past, and there is no waste.
