I have a lot of very thick, wavy, frizzy hair. I had a straightener that worked well in the beginning, but now that its been used so much it isnt working on my hair. Does anyone know what the best straightener would be for my hair type?

Probably a Solia or a Sedu.

Go to Folica.com and check out the reviews, lately people have been posting before/after pictures of their hair.

Hi! Well I know how you feel I have tried so many flat irons, spent so much money and ended up with a chunk of burnt hair and no solution. But one day I tried this flat iron that my cousin got from the states called the Remington wet to straight. It was a lot cheaper then all the other ones that I tried and it worked wonders. I have thick hair, naturally curly; and I’m talking tight hard to straighten type of curls. But this flat iron really worked for me. It was cheap, saved me a lot of time, and now my hair stands up to even the worst humidity. So if you are having trouble maybe you can try this one. You can check for it and order it on line. Hope this helps

I would reccommend the Solia or Sedu also. The Sedu is a little more pricey but in the long run it is definately worth it. Check out the reviews at folica and then you can decide which one is better suited to your needs but stick with the ceramic flat irons. Good luck

I always likd the CHi. I have thick, cousre, wavy hair too. Also to insure that it straitens easyoer, stays straitened, and doesn't burn your hair, always, ALWAYS use flat iron ( or thermal styling) spray before you let that iron touch your hair

Nattie, go with the Sedu.  I just replaced my old flat iron with a Sedu 1.5 inch and it did so much better and took me a lot less time.  I have thick course curly hair and love this thing.

I also recommend using Biosilk Silk Therapy before and after using the flat iron.  Check out http://www.the-hair-straighteners.com/sedu-hair-straightener .cfm for info on best pricing and such.  I found the site while I was researching and I'm really happy with the results I got.
