I'm new to the forum and need some advice. First off I want to color my hair to remove the gray that is just starting. In my youth, I was a sandy blonde, but my hair has seemed to darken and started to gray.. I want to do a gradual type change. Can anyone recommend a good home kit for a man or should I see a stylist... Some of the chemicals in these kits will kill you... Also, I know these kits require 5 to 10 minutes to work completely, If I left the gel in for less time can I achieve the gradual change I desire... I would appreciate any help..

I'm not sure what the kits are. I think these products are intended for people who want to be able to claim they don't dye their hair. Actually, products like Grecian Formula are ruinous to the hair.

I think you should find a stylist who is willing to do some natural-looking highlights to transition you back to your original color.
