A member of yours joined our group on yahoo and after researching this site I think I could learn alot. I am 51 with very fine, european, light golden brown hair. I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease which has caused my hair to thin. I've worn extensions (tried almost all of them) for 13 years. I use a weave most of the time. Right now I'm not wearing extensions, thought I would let my hair rest for a while after wearing extensions for almost 6 years straight. Need to find hair that matches mine better, learn about coloring my type of hair and if there are any other ways I can make my hair thicker. Any input is appreciated.

You should repost this on the extensions board. That's where the people with extensions experience hang out.

Hello Annie,

I have very very fine too so have a similar problem to you.  At the moment I have got single strand fusion bonds in, but next time I need extensions I will have them put in the weaving way.  It is important though if you have fine hair not to have them put in too tightly because this can cause too much tension on the roots.

Human hair comes in all colours so your extensionist should be able to match up to your own hair, especially if it is natural and not coloured.

nice to know you
