Hi-
Was wondering if someone (anyone, please!) could recommend a website besides H & H's where I could order loose human hair for pinchbraids and extension thread to match. I know how to install and am going to install a few bright blonde and blue (already have the blue) pieces for temporary use on my cousin. I am looking for hair at least 24 inches in length, probably a light blonde to platinum color. Would like cuticle hair if I can find it, otherwise just good quality hair with some wave or curl to it. Have used H & H's dozens of times and would like to try someone new, so would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
While Nature Girl has gotten good reviews, I really wouldn't recommend
it, since all their hair is dark brown to black and you'd probably ruin
it trying to take it to light blonde.
The only human hair brands I would recommend are:
Bohyme, Extensions-Plus, Glamourhair.com Remy, or His and Her Cuticle. Bohyme is the best priced of those four.
Well, I should preface this by saying
that I've never ordered from Naturegirl, so all of my comments are
based purely on research and not firsthand experience. But I think it
all depends on what your real hair is like, your budget, and the look
you want to achieve. It's raw Indian hair, so sometimes it needs to be
prepared (permed, colored) for use. It's not cheap, but it's durable
hair that seems to last a long time, and the company has a lot of good
feedback.
Many African-American women, in particular, have had good experiences
with this hair, as it tends to be more textured than more
silky-straight Asian "Euro" hair (at least its kinky and curly textures

I don't know about them serving only African American's - a caucasion
friend who lifted the hair to an alburn recommended me.... I'm black and
hispanic....

Thanks for all the speedy replies! I think my only two options will be glamour hair or His N Hers, for two reasons:
1) I need hair that is at least 22 inches long
2) She has fine, straight, quite blonde hair with copper hilights, so hair suited for Caucasians will have to be used. Plus she doesn't want synthetic because she uses rollers on her hair and a jumbo curling iron.

Just so you know...
She didn't say NG only served African-Americans. She clearly said AA's in particular have had good experience with NG because of the textures they offer.
But even with the textures it's still kind of silky.
But I don't recommend NG anyway for what Norsky is looking for. I think you'd ruin the hair if you tried to lift it to platinum blond. I think she's better off with a hair that's already colored. Like synthetic or bohyme or the other brands the girls are recommending.

because of their (NG) textures' comment. I don't think that 'mostly' is
true and I wanted to express that.

Whoa...you're way off base. I never said "mostly" anything; I encourage
you to reread the thread. If you do, you'll see exactly what I said,
which was:

So I ordered the Glamourhair, Euro Remy in #613, does anyone know if this is as light as the H & H's #613, or how the quality is? Wasn't sure if the charts were all comparable or not. Looked like it, but sometimes when I would order H & H's #22 it looked more like a #24, and the #613 would look like a #22. (five years ago I remember the H & H colors used to be more accurate for the blonde shades. The #22 my stylist ordered was so light, it basically looked like what they now consider #613.)
Also, for the blue PB's, I used a silky straight human hair #22 that I colored with Manic Panic. The color turned out this awesome blue/turqouise color. I do not have any prior experience with Manic Panic, can anyone tell me if this color could "bleed" unto my own light blonde hair if I were to shower with the PB's in? In the past I have always taken them out before I wet my hair.
Well, the Glamourhair Remy hair has gotten great reviews, so I think
it'll work out well; I imagine the 613 is a true 613 (although they do
vary a bit from brand to brand). As far as the Manic Panic goes, I
would be very concerned about bleeding, although I don't have much
experience with veggie dye. I'm sure others will chime in here. :)

I think you would definitely have a problem with any color bleeding onto blonde. Ive even bought HH that was colored by the manufacturer and that bled too. I resorted to synthetic for highlights or streaks.

OOOHHH, so glad you'all said something. I was going to leave them in when I washed. That would not be a good scenario, me having skunked blue hair since I work in the legal field. Somehow I don't think it would "fly" with the partners. Thanks for the warnings.
