I have taken my extensions out because my head was getting pretty sore.  I had them sewn in.  It is real human hair.  I have my "hair" in a bag now...What can I do to it to make it look as good as it did when I put it in the first time.  When I had it in it got bigger and bigger each time I washed it.  I want to have it put back in this week but I want it to look better before I do that.  I bought henna and placena conditioner, I love that stuff on my own hair, but will it help this frizzy mess.

OH!  Also what will happen to it if I put more highlights in it...I have to touch up my own hair and I wanted to add more light blonde to the extensions too.

Sounds like you are seeing the emerging "real hair"as the silicone coating on the hair wears off ( a trick many human hair suppliers will do to mask lower quality hair.) You can try treating it with superior products with lots of "shiner" type ingredients like dimethicone, cyclomethicone, and hydrolyzed silk. I like the Keratase line of products by Loreal Professional. Also Terax hair conditioner (Sephora.com is great!)

Yeah it didn't take long to figure out it was treated with something to make it look great, but as I washed it I was washing it away.  I just wondered what it was they used to make it look so awesome.  I live in a small town and the only place I can buy human hair is at Sally's or at the stores that are also selling bronze Budas.  It's not that I wouldn't pay more for it I just don't have it here to buy.  This stuff is like 25.00 a bag, I know that has to be cheap hair.  I talked to someone about great lengthes the other day and she said it would take 6 bags of that hair...It that about right.  It only took 2 bags of this sew in stuff and I had hair left over. That seems like a lot.  And If I order it I can't send it back if I have 2 bags left.

hmmmm.Normally, a certified GL stylist won't put hair in unless it comes from GL.  Is she saying it will take that much to apply it with fusion? Or she is willing to sew it in??

LOL....I think its the cheap hair thats $25 a bag. Great Lenghts you probably cant get 5 strands for $25

Great lengths hair is probably bundled in smaller packaging, less weight than the cheaper wefts of hair that you purchased. That would explain why she told you 6 bags compared to the 2 of the cheaper stuff.

sherrie, i was thinking the price might have been maybe $25 for a pack of say 20 tips or whatever, hence the needing 6 bags for $25 instead of 2 for $25

i think i should sleep, been out partying all weekend :P

I figure it must be that the GL is packaged differantly too.  But 6 bags was 350.00 plus postage...and then 50 dollars a bag to put it in.  Does that sound right to you?

That seems way underpriced for GLs hair, although it depends how many tips are in a bundle. I believe they may sell per 25 strands, so 6 bags would be 150 strands. Still underpriced, but depending on the length, it's possible, I guess. Be aware that some stylists say they use GLs, but are actually ordering cheaper hair and just installing it with the GLs method. That happened to me: I paid $1250 for a headful GLs hair supposedly, but it was actually Cinderella. Grrr... BTW, I wouldn't recommend fusion if you have fine hair, which it looks like you do.

:)
