Ok so every 6 mo. I have my mid-back length hair trimmed. Not much, just 1-1.5 in. so that the length will be roughly maintained throughout the course of the year. Being the beginning of summer, I decided to get a little more off and go for 2 in. I thought I wouldn`t look much different and that it would be a little more manageable for my hot, active summer.
So I went to have it done and they took off atleast *4* in. Double the amount. I measured. Now my hair is only 3-4 in. below the shoulder! After the cut, they said, "Oh, good length" and I just meekly nodded.
I`m really angered because I have special event soon. I thought the trim would even my hair out so it would look neat for the event.
So here I am getting used to the new look.
I guess I won`t ask the same person for 2 in. off again, even in preperation for the summer.
:`(
Thanks for listening, just had to share my story.

:(I`m so sorry that happend to you...
lots of people have been having problems like this lately(in other words, your not alone)...I`m sorry you had to be one of them.
:)Look on the bright side, it`s only 4 inches, and not the most they could have cut off.
:DBe opitmistic, you can always grow it back!

Make sure whomever cuts your hair next time uses a ruler... I`m from Cali, and stylists do it here. They are never supposed to just eye it, if you tell them a specific measurement.
There is more to life than hair...Come on---Go get a life!!!!!!!

Help me out here. I have heard horror story after horror story about women who go into a salon, hate their haircut, suck it up, don`t complain and even return to the same salon a couple months later. Of course the person who cut your hair is going to say something like "oh, nice length" in order to save face. If you don`t like it, why not tell them? And for heaven`s sake, I hope you`re not going to make the same "mistake" twice by returning to the same place.

Hopefully stories like this will serve as an example for others.

gord, have you ever hear the phrase: "if you don`t have something nice to say, don`t say anything at all?" instead of attacking people, why not offer some helpful advice!

What a one-track mind you have. Read my post again. It`s full of helpful advice. Are you a hair stylist? Why so defensive? I stand by what I wrote. All of it.
