QuoteReplyTopic: "weave" coloring please advise Posted: July 26 2005 at 4:49am
I have and always will keep my hair long. It's 39" now, max length was 54". I planned to skip the battle with silver, but now am 50%, well blended silver with the honey blonde natural and get that washed out feeling with indoor light. In natural light, it's still got good color. I'm considering adding color as people have assured me "new" products don't fry the hair, it won't require bleach, etc. Is there truly a product that won't damage the length if I have a "weave" done in my natural blonde color? I've been monitoring this site and benefitted from many of the suggestions shared by the members. Thanks!

I'm not sure I believe these assurances you're getting. If it's a
permanent color, it'll be a harsh process, especially for hair that's
as long as yours. It's my understanding that a semi-/demi-
permanent is much less harsh, but I don't know if this is do-able going
to blonde. (Haircoloring is not in my area of expertise).
Thanks for the answer. You're right, I think "measure 7 times, cut once" was my great grandmother's wisdom when making risky decisions. I'll do more research. Your photo looks like my hair at it's longest when I was younger and reminds me that interventions usually subtract rather than add to natures gifts.
Second question, if you don't mind. I would like to share a photo, how can it made to fit the site's pixel restriction?

Re: your 2nd question... I believe Photoshop (or other similar pgm)
will allow you to decrease the resolution of digital images (I needed
to go one step further on mine, it exceeds the 25k limit).
