QuoteReplyTopic: Stolen pics! They work fast! Posted: August 07 2005 at 2:18pm
I just very recently posted these pics of some hair I got from luxery locs on the blackhair board. I might have posted them here too, but I don't remember. Check it out. Someone already ripped them off for their ebay auction. I wasnt even happy with that hair! They work so fast!
That suck's!!! But hay that luxery locs looks great did you like it, do they have a site?I never heard of them is all. Well I guess this is why we must water mark
It's just so amazing how quickly they took it. From now on I will write something obnoxious across the photots. It's so hysterical that we HAVE to watermark pictures of our own personal stashes of hair so that the people who want us to buy their products won't STEAL our own photos. I am extremely annoyed that they are using my naturegirl photo to advertise their naturally curly because you know there curls are going to be NOTHING like nature girl curls.
About luxerylocs: I didn't like the first batch of hair luxerylocs sent me. It tangled a lot when it was wet and wasn't curly enough. However the hair they sent me in the exchange was very nice. One bundle was absolutely luscious and didn't tangle a bit. It was beautiful, soft, tangle free and the wefts very nice and thick. (I can't find the picture of the wonderful bundle now) This was my second favor bundle from them. http://public.fotki.com/cherrycoke/luxerylocs/luxcurl2.htmlI t wasn't quite as curly as I wanted but for 26 inch hair it was a lot more than you usually get. This hair was not quite as silky as my very favorite bundle but after some deep conditioning it became really nice. I was very happy with it.
The woman who runs it is very nice and if you aren't happy with your hair you can exchange it. I was very happy with the hair she sent as exchange, but I really didn't like the first 2 bundles she sent at all. T I recommend reinforcing the weft. It does shed more than nature girl but not nearly as bad as RKhair did for me. Although its more expensive than indianhairs.com the price was still moderate and I like having the option of exchanging the hair if I am unhappy, with IH you can't do that. Since I'm always dealing with curly hair, it's important to me that I have the option of exchanging in case the curl isn't deep enough for me. Then again, although the woman is very nice, her site is full of photos of celebrities which is so CHEESY. It's such false advertisement showing photos of hair that ISN'T really the hair you are selling. Her product is nice enough, why doesn't she just exclusively photograph her own stock??
No kidding, Kateadreena! That's so ruuude! lol Well, I'm NEVER putting my pics of my face showing. There is no way I'm going have my face showing up on some rip-off artist's site and god only knows where else.
Has anyone got a website where I can download the software used for watermarking. I have seen on another thread where the words where all across the picture. If so I would be so grateful.
You can use any number of image-processing programs to do it; all you
need ot be able to do is put text on the image. Opacity adjustment is a
mce touvh (so the watermark is partially transparent, but there); I use
Photoshop, myself.
