Advice please

Hi.  I'm back again.  Well I have been growing out real bad beige highlights for the past year altho i have tried different colors on my bangs.  I think my natural color is blah brown but i do have quite a bit of blond left even tho the length is above shoulders.  From time to time I have painted a clairol 6N on the sides a bit b/c I didn't like the washed out blonde.  It made the color very ashy or green I can't tell.  Ugly none the less and multi-tone.

I need to warm it up.  I'm thinking if I put neutral protein filler on the blond and then use 6w wella to even out the color. 

would this work?

I'm thinking i can add a few highlights if needed.
