I would say seven, so that they can wear one pair a week (though I would
never go a whole week with only jeans; I try to wear a skirt at least once a
week) without repeating any. I myself have 10.

I have about 20 and don't think it is enough. Jeans rock!. You can dress them up or down, and there are so many styles. You have to have your every day ones, and your going out ones. They are the ultimate piece of clothing. As a matter of fact, I am going shopping for some more next week!!

Umm I used to work at a clothing store while I was putting myself through university so I have at least 60 to maybe 100.  WAY TOO MANY

At least 20, and I just down-sized my closets. I think I have an obsession with jeans...and shoes!

ETA: I forgot to answer OP's original question...I think about 5-7 pairs of jeans is what a girl should have in their closet. You gotta have at least 1 pair of work around the house jeans, 2 pairs of everyday comfy jeans, 1 pair of "I feel kind of fat today" jeans and 2 pairs of sexy jeans.

I have about 10 pairs. But I only wear a couple of them. The older ones need to go. I love jeans. They go with just about anything. I think I wear mostly jeans nowadays. I don't like slacks or any formal looking pants. Jeans are cool!

5. I'm dying to have a new hit - skinny jeans. Maybe, J Brand or Paige Denim, they are really cute and classy looking.

There's a pair of jeans I like just got, but already I'm gonna have to give them away or sell them, 'cause they're so big they almost fall right off :-( .  I don't try things on before I buy them (bad, I know), but I measured them, and they shouldn't have been quite that big on me.  Guess I'll go a little smaller next time.

I own a few pairs of jeans, but I rarely wear them. I prefer wearing dresses, skirts.
