A rough idea of how many individual strands are needed for a full head?
I never count how many I do, could be roughly 200-300 per head I would think depending on acreage, thickness, style, etc...
I usually use about 1 1/2-2 1/4lb packages per head, but I don't know how that translates into this.
I second that! For the average head, 200-300 is about right if they are adding length and thickness. If they just want thickness, then I usually use between 100-150 strands.
I didn't think my hair was that thin but seeing I can only fit about 175 on my head I guess the hair is thin or my head small I would not be able to fit 250 at all!
some hair comes in different weights or thicknesses per tip, so I guess that would be a factor. I think the average size pretip is about equal to what some companies that offer different sizes would call a medium thickness.
The Korean hair that I used for so long was a Medium tip thickness with 200 tips per 4 oz. So I would have to use 300 to install 6 oz. but could never fit quite that many on my head. I averaged about 250...or a little more so not quite 6 oz.
Now with this Amm hair on the other hand...Ill probably only get about 150 pretips on my head and that will be 6 ounces.
