Hey.... I've been sewing in my weft for over 5 yrs. myselft, but the other methods you all are talking are intriguing me....Soooo... without getting a giant list of sights.... May I ask you people to ...

1.  The OVERALL best method (I realize they all have weak and strong points)

2.  The best OVERALL hair?  human?  fake?  If fake, what kind and where to buy?

3.  Anyone out there doing the Dome method on themselves?  Can it be that hard?

I'm just a little tired of sewing in my weft, and looking for some excitement and/or trouble.... depends on how you look at it...

Once in a while I'll have the PROSTYLES done on me, but a wonderful lady.  However, I hate being dependent on someone else.....

Genie

Thank You for your responses... and experience

Hi GenieA and welcome aboard!  Youve come to the right place for info, there is a boatload of it here, and can be a little overwhelming at first!

There are no right and wrong answers to some of your questions. Not any one method works best for everybody. Some methods work for some hair and some methods dont. Same goes for hair whether human hair or synthetic, just depends on personal preference, some brands get better reviews than others...so I think its just a matter of preference really. Although human hair is iffy at times and a particular brand can be hit or miss.

I would suggest that you start at the top of the board and read the updated overview thread and the extension 101 thread, both have lots of great info...all compiled and put together by our fabulous Jenny_RR who always seems to be on top of all the information!

As far as the dome method or any type of heatseals I dont think there are too many people doing it on themselves, but there are a few here who do. I myself am not so sure I could master the heatseals or pinchbraids on myself!

And again welcome to the board!

Well said Sherrie!!

My personal answers:

1. You said it best yourself

2. Human= Bohyme and Lush Hair...soon to be on the market! Synthetic= Plastickharr(PH) large color selection and comes in bulk, wefts, pretips(soon) and custom blends. *There are also Thermos, such as WAWA and AD in weft and bulk.

3. Not personally

*Here is my alternative to bulky weaves http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=30426 &PN=1

**Most definately read the archives... It's practically an Extension Bible! Including vendors, tutorials, FAQS, and troubleshooting!!!!!!!

Welcome
