White Guy Needs Help with waves

I am in the process of getting waves, am only trying because Ive been told that it is possible for me to get waves with my hair type. I have a few questions what would be the best pomade for me to use? Ive been told 360 because it washes out easier, also should I use a soft brush and a hard brush? and Anything else I shud know or do considering am white and it is alot harder to get the waves spinnin, thanks.

the thing is my hair isnt curly when its less than half an inch but at like an inch it starts gettin curly, my hair is more like spanish hair than white even though am white(italian)
