when i had PH i used the flocked conair ones - old school style that my sister had under her bathroom sink for about 10 years. i used them on dry hair - you probably could use them on wet except i tried to limit handling of synth while wet and without combing the hair would be a snaggly and difficult to roll. the hair curled well dry.
products - paul mitchell tea tree oil shampoo, kerasilk conditioner, and a little dome conditioner as a leave-in on the synth and some dome care spray (both bought from plastikhaar).

AK. There are several brands of hot rollers. The velvet ones are the best in my opinion. I think Clairol makes a nice set. You can get them anywhere, I think I bought mine at Walmart. Thy usually come in various sizes. What size you use depends on how curly you want your hair. For a loose wave you would use the larger ones. The small ones tend to give to tight of curls for me, I would use the medium size. You use them on dry hair, set them and wait for the rollers and hair to completely cool before taking the rollers out. I dont think its necesary to use any styling products but you could try it. Sorry I dont have any pictures. I dont usually use my flocked rollers...I have never been able to get the control from the hotrollers that I get with a curling iron...
Edited: Oh I just noticed that you were asking about use on synthetic hair...not sure if you would dampen the hair first...might ask a PH or Prohair user about that.
after reading through many old posts about what velvet flocked hot rollers
to use them and how to use them (on synth like ph or prohair), my brain is
cramped with everything everyone posted. i need some clarification.
what kind of flocked rollers were the best?
what diameter?
used on damp or dry hair?
set for how long?
any styling products used?
any pics? (most have disappeared from the older posts because they were
gone from their host sites)
