Height and hair length

One thing longer lengths have going for them is that they will stay where placed better than relatively shorter hair. Bringing hair from the back at waist level and placing it across the lap becomes automatic over time and it will stay there pretty well when seated. I wouldn't let the earlier experiences turn a person off more length if that was what they were after.

Well, if we can be technical about it, so did I (never mind the fact that I was 3 and therefore not terribly concerned with fashion!)

Nope, I am 20 (just a child, I know!). So my junior year was 2000-2001. But as I said, where I grew up, the preppy look never went away the first time, so yeah, when the "preppy revival" became the high-fashion thing, it just didn't much matter there.

And it is about individuality, always has been for me, anyway. Around my junior year of high school, Vogue/Anna Wintour very famously stated that "the bob is back." To which I replied, "When did it actually go away?" because the preppy girls at my school had always worn them. Could not tell that crowd apart from the back.

And Ken... the only strength that men (or women, for that matter) need for long hair is strength of will.

Hey, haven't posted here in a while! I'm kind of on the short side myself (I say I'm 5'4" when I'm rounding up and lying through my teeth). Has that ever influenced my tonsorial decisions? You guessed it, no! It's been said in many magazines that only tall women can pull off long, curly hair; well, I've been pulling the look off brilliantly since I was a child and therefore even smaller! And on a side note, I wore a white shirt yesterday and fully plan on wearing one today. And it is well past Labor Day

I feel it is none of those nosy women's buisness to tell women how their hair should be. My mother's hair use to be waist length, but she cut it to shoulder length. Then her friends wanted her to get her haircut, guess what they butchered her hair. When I use to get haircuts, I had a better hair cut then she did. She is now short in the front, sides, and back and now looks like an old lady. Those people who claim women over 60 shouldn''t have longhair, just want to make those women appear very old.

If she wants to cut it for herself, nothing wrong with that.

Ever since I have taken up the idea I shouldn't change my appearence(longhair) for anyone, I have never been better off spiritually. This is the wisdom I tried to pass on to my mother before she got her haircut, who knows maybe she will listen. She changes religions faster than crap, so who knows.

I agree about the short hair thing.. Nobody should be told to cut their hair to look taller. I'm 5'2" and long hair is going to make me look taller, not shorter! lol.

The solutions are +/- .618, roughly.
If you take two consecutive numbers in the Fibonacci sequence (the higher they are, the closer the number to .618......) and divide the smaller by the larger, you'll get a version of the GP. If you divide the other way, it's 1.6 something. And on most people, the .618 is a tad bit longer than classic length, or about midthigh-ish. Hope this helps
