ok i went to the redken site and thought about getting the 'aquafy' for men.. i looked at the other section and the products looked promising like strength and repair, ultra smoothness, softness and moisture, moisture and de-frizz, and the hair cleansing cream (removes copper, iron, and hard water minerals from hair).. they each COULD help my hair but which one is best?

Definitely. Parts of my Asian hair are also very wiry like that. It's mostly the outside layers. but either way, it's genetic.

Maybe its just too long or heave. maybe have it razored a little on top so its not as heave.also I think Asian hair natrually grows so that it sticks out..

Hey Indolence, I just wanted to say that it's perfectly normal for your hair to have uneven wave, coarseness, and those properties. Oftentimes it's due to puberty. There's little you can do to change it though. I can't think of any products for soft hair besides Giovanni Direct Leave-in, but someone else will come along with good suggestions.

ok back in the day i used to be able to spike my hair up easily with gel because my hair was short. but now, ive had surgery scar in the back of my head so i wanted to cover it up with my hair by growing it out. BUT my hair doesnt obey now. after i shower my hair "fluffs" up kind of like and afro but not. When i used a styling product i ALWAYS have hair strands that stick up (ive used all kinds like gels, creams, hair glue, stuff for wet looks, flexible hold, etc.) its really frustrating.

ive tried many kinds of shampoos and conditioners for dry hair, rebellious hair, coarse hair, damaged hair, more volumized hair, straigher hair, etc.

if i only knew my hair problem, it would help me decide what kind of product i need, here are some pics (doesnt look that bad in the first two):

heres how it looks after i gel:

hair strands from my head:

--------------------------------

yea its frustrating. so "what is my hair problem?" i dont know if its dry or damaged or anything. some hair strands are "bendy" (the top hair strand) but not like a curl, it bends back and forth and back. some of them just curl and some just stick up  they kind of have the feeling like..... the tape from a cassette tape.. something like that. ill also add that when i comb my hair with a plastic rather fine toothed comb, most of the hair with streak down likes its supposed to but them some hair strands rebel and stick up and curl and all that

another question.. what is "relaxed" hair? is that hair that just falls down naturally? and how should i wash my hair? how should i dry my hair with a towel.

i kinda want to achieve this style or be able to style like this:

i know i have to grow my hair longer but the way it is now is so frustrating. sorry for making this topic so long but its really really really frustrating and annoying . i really need help thanx in advanced
