QuoteReplyTopic: How do you manage new growth/curly hair? Posted: November 25 2005 at 6:04am
This is if you had your hair chemically straightened... well anyways its a nightmare for me to manage the new growth parts on my hair it's so wavy curly at the tops that I have no clue on what product is good to use... The new growth isn't much (just about 1.5 inches) but do you have any techniques to keep it straight without going to the salon and have it retouched? Thanks for any help.

My hair is thermally reconditioned, and usually I flatiron the regrowth, there's really no other way around it. Your roots are not that long though, so I think if you just straightened it with a blow dryer it should give you some result, but if your hair is too curly then flatironing is the way to go. You can also try Redken's Smooth Down line, which is supposed to make hair straighter. Good luck. ^^
