Hi all
I got my first order of hair from Jet Set Extensions last week. I have to say I absolutely *LOVE* it and it is awesome!! We'll see how it holds up; but it is softer than the Bohyme I had gotten.
I ordered #8 and #22 and the 14" weft. The hair is nearly 16" long -- it is 14" in its wave form. I got the natural wave, and when I washed it, it dried to a very gorgeous, soft wave. It curlys BEAUTIFULLY and feels great against my face!! I'm almost done installing the sides (with fusion using Amm's awesome keratin pellets). I got it on sale at Christmas and 4 oz. was a whopping $88 including shipping!!! Wish me luck!!
I'm having the back done with pinchbraids (they were too bulky for the sides of my hair, which are very fine, AND they slipped out kinda early - like after 6 weeks or so) and am going to use Amm's Elite Remy. I got it in 18" from her and am going to have it installed with PB's on Friday (by Heather the genius who will probably kill me for insisting on fusion on the sides - she's such a purist - which I love). I am VERY curious to try the Elite side-by-side with the Jet Set.
Sorry I don't have any pictures. My daughter put "Floam" In the camera charger, and, well, I don't think electronic devices were meant to be floamed. LOL. Other camera on the way.
So right now I have the sides with this new, soft, gorgeous JetSet hair, and the back is a combo if His & Her 50% Mink & Lush. I have to say that the back feels like straw in comparison, and, strangely, it's begun to matt and tangle. I'm not sure what's going on with it but I'll be happy to get the hair removed.

I got a sample from Jetset...unfortunately it is too light to install for a test-drive. Just out of the package....this isn't as soft or silky as Lush or Bohyme IMO. However; I've found everything regarding exrtensions is very subjective. It could just be this particular color batch. I'll be curious to hear how it wears for you Fina.

I don't know why everyone says that Jetset wefts are pricey! It's the same or cheaper than Bohyme wefts at www.superhairfactory.com.
They sent me a sample and it was nice. I then ordered a 14" weft for a client in 14/24 silky straight or fine (whatever they call it) and it felt and looked beautiful out of the bag. I bonded the wefts on my client, so we'll see how the hair holds up on her next appointment.
It was easy to order off their website, and the shipping was fast. I also like the fact you can order in 2 ounce increments. That makes it nice if you want to mix a bunch of colors.
I think the wefts are very reasonable, but the strands are a bit higher priced. The weft prices are very reasonable though! Im just waiting for a a review!

The natural wave is slightly less wavy then your hair, Sherrie. I think you would really like the texture of this hair, to be honest. It's "light" - meaning that each strand seems much finer, which could be good or bad depending on what kind of hair you have. For me it's awesome because I have that very classically fine hair with a slight wave to it.When I get Amm's elite hair (and get my camera situation fixed) I'll take pics of the hair side-by-side AND I'll be wearing them side-by-side starting this Friday.
I too thought it was *very* reasonably priced, but I bought the wefts. In general I don't buy pretipped hair because it is really expensive (which I DO NOT understand since labor in China is so cheap, but that's another story. . )

She calls them "clear" (they are the keratin pellets) but they haven't worked too well for me. . .they are yellow before heating and cooling, and actually seem to cool to a quite opaque white. . . not good. . .

The jet set is indistinguishable from Amm's Elite as far as texture and performance. I'll take some photos tonight and y'all can judge for yourselves!!
I think the X-10 fusion sticks perform really well, although working with a glue gun is a pain in the butt, IMO!!
Neither the JetSet nor the Elite is very wavy. I think the "Body Wave" in either would have a bit more wave to it. This hair is not stick straight; just has a very very mild wave to it.

Girls, I have a pic of the "Body Wave" Jet set prebonded hair if you want to
see it? Anyone up for posting the pic...let me know and I'll send it to you.
I will say the Body Wave on the Jet Set did relax a bit when I washed
it....so not sure how long the waves would actually last? I really like the
wave though. I usually don't care for Body Wave hair but it looks pretty
nice.
I tested 12 different fusion bonds on my mannequin head and Elite Bonds
were my favorite then Jet Set. I loved the color match of the bonds to the
hair extension, on the Elite Bonds, better matching. Both equally good
hair. Better price is hands down the Elite Bonds....Jet set is way more
money. Other fusion tips that came out good where Beautymeka V-tips
and the easiest to roll of all the bonds were D-Lux, did not burn at all.
All the bonds were cut in half, they looked much nicer installed. All these
bonds gave you 2 strands from one tip and they were still a decent
thickness to them afterwards. All the other bonds I tried became to thin
when split in half, so I just trimmed those bonds down and installed.
