Have any of you ever seen any real damage from the extensions. I have socaps  I don't know what to do.  Should I take them out and risk losing the money Ive invested? I just get nervous when I cant see as much as my hair as I was used to seeing.  It's hard cause the fake hair just over powers my own hair.  I have alot of bulk to my hair, its thin and curly. Thanks M

Yes Ive seen damage from extensions. But taking them out isnt going to help if the damage is already done. If anything it will be more visable. Id say if your hair has been damaged. Its probably from poor installs or poor prior removals or just that the so-cap method is to hard on your hair. Either switch methods to something that is gentler on your hair...or switch extensionists if its from poor installs/poor removals

If you have your own hair and roots coming out with extensions then yeah...its time time to get them out. Could be that too much extension hair was attached to too little natural hair. Or for whatever reason the extensions are putting to much stress on your hair and pulling them out.

lol I don't know what to do.  They don't all come out like this.  But I would agree if there was too little hair of mine attached I could see that.  I have had them in since 4/05 and I really wanted in for a trip I am going on this coming April.  What should I do? I really havent seen alot of my own hair coming out in a while.

Oh my....you have had them in since 4/05?? First of all, you really need these COMPLETELY removed. Im assuming that you have had fill ins/upkeep or maintanence done since the initial install?? Personally I think that every 12 weeks they need completely removed and reinstalled, I disagree with doing partial fills and not doing a complete takedown every 12 weeks.

Why not get yourself some wefts and pro-tac strips and install your own, and give your roots a rest from the fusion bonds. The strips are simple enough for any one to do themselves!

Hi again, Thanks for all your great advice.  I cannot afford to spend 1000 every 12 weeks. I wish I could lol but that is not what the company says anyways. My hairdresser has removed any that have "grown out" or they just seem to fall out on there own. What type do you have? And could you give me some more info on the methods you have described?
