Hello all,

I have short chin length, bob-like, layered hair.  My hair is anywhere from 5-8 inches long.  What i want is to add volume and not length.  Is clip on a good idea for hair my length?

And am i right that with clip on, since the extensions doesnt grow with your natural hair like how strand method does, you will have to buy new ones when the natural hair gets longer where it doesnt blend with the shorter extensions anymore?

clips ins will last you atleast 3 months if not longer dependng on the quality of the hair. clips in normally last longer than strand buy strand cos ur not washing them all the time esp. if you get good quality hair.

your own hair growing should not stop them from blending in. having said that i have only ever used clip ins to add length and not volume. however your hair does not grow that quiclkly therfore i wouldnt think growth within 3 months would cause blending issues at all. you may simply need to reposition them slightly.

Hi!

Yes, you are right, that when your natural hair surpasses the clip ins in length, it will be time to buy longer ones.

I think clip ins would work just fine for your hair, especially since you can not adding length, just volume.  If you were trying to add length, I'd tell you to pile on the hair, because the bluntness of bobs are hard to conceal with extensions.

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks girls for the replies, that was helpful.

When my current strand by strand is due for removal, i will seriously think about the clip ins.

I have been emailing two ebay sellers recommended by this board about their clip ins, for some reasons I have not get one reply from both of them.  Maybe they are not interested since i only asked for the sides(2 inches) instead of the whole package.  Dunno...

metalgirl, hows your relocation plan?  Are you still going to move to wa?
