My mom parts her hair it twevles and applies the relaxer to her roots (not scalp). I couldn't trust myself messing with my hair, so I'd never let anyone whos not a pro  to put chemicals in my hair.
Hair Type- 4a/b *transitioning front of my head*
Length-ranges from 5-7 inches =)
Products- Garnier Fructis S & S Poo, Lustrasilk Shea Butter Mango Conditioner and Cantu-Leave in =)

Yes, there are specific ways to apply a relaxer...I suggest following the DIRECTIONS INSIDE THE BOX.
