I just found these pictures on my computer that I took before my hair
decided to look horrible, and I know how we all love pictures so here is
my Bohyme during it's 2 days of glory before it decided it hated me.

I don't know why look half dead on the second picture, I think I was just
trying to get better light on my hair since they are just silly webcam
shots! So just ignore my face or something :)
It's about two wefts total of Bohyme body wave, I actually used 3 colours
though, one dyed to match my hair, one mid brown and a 613. All put in
with pro-tac which by the way is holding well after 2 weeks with only the
very bottom row which I think I will have to re-install the next time I wash
it, and the top row has a little LG re-inforcement as I only used to the
protac on one side of that row.

Your hair looks really pretty. When you said it decided to hate you, I"m assuming you mean it all went south - tangling, dull, everything.
Is that right?
And it's Bohyme, correct?
I've used Bohyme body wave and yes, it does go straight after 2 washes, but it always held up silky-wise: it never got ridiculously tangly and it NEVER did the dreaded thing where you brush it, and 5 minutes later it's crawled into a big knot, the true sign of hair going different directions plus God knows what other abuse.
You may have a water problem, shampoo/conditioner problem, and...that should be it. Recently I tried Pantene ProV Brunette Expressions daily color enhancing conditioner and WHOA...it released any and all knots and tangles and left my RK hair as silky and swingy as the Pantene commercials. No kidding.
It's worth a try. Don't give up on your install cuz it looks great. Try this Pantene brunette conditioner for four bucks before you throw in the towel - it's rather amazing for silkening hair that has gone to the dark side.

Syren, I will try that shampoo for sure, it cant hurt... it is doing the dreaded
matted lump thing though. I sleep with it in braids usually, and then half an
hour or so after I've released it in the morning, I'm holding the roots and
dragging a brush through it because it's a big matted lump at the back. It's
awful! And the other Bohyme I had was the same!
The wave has stayed in fine though. typical! haha.
Its hair washing night tonight so I'll grab some of that conditioner before I
do it and report back on my findings :)
Dunebug, if its that bad the shower filter may not help at this point either...
Im surprised that the Bohyme turned so bad. Mine is almost 5 weeks and still has the shine, softness and silkiness. It is so silky that I sometimes think its a dead giveaway that its not my own...LOL. And believe me I torture that CRAP out of my hair. If it can hold up to my abuse I think it will hold up for about anybody!
I started right off from day one of my install with the right shampoo and the shower filter and it honestly makes a huge difference. Ive worn Bohyme before with good results, but NEVER this good. I wonder now about some of the other hair that I swore off, thinking it was terrible hair. Makes me want to go back and try my wawa again, as the only complaint with that was keeping it feeling soft....now I wonder!
Sherrie; I know :( I don't know if it can be saved at this point either... but I
have ordered some of the UK Bohyme and I'm going to start off with a
shower filter and the sulfate free shapoo right from the get go and hopefully
it will be ok. I just don't understand how this is my second batch of Bohyme
that I've hated, there's got to be *something* I'm doing. So I'm think maybe I
just have exceptionally horrible water.... because as far as I can tell, I'm not
doing anything else I shouldnt be....
Where did you buy your sulfate free shampoo? I know it was talked about in
another thread but I can't find it now!
Thanks Tangles! It's a scalpel piercing, as in, cut to the size that I have. I'm

I have seen people get the scalpel for their ears but never the labret.
I just assumed you gaged it over time.It hurts alot just gaged a few sizes from what you have.I gaged my ears when i was younger ,but I did it slowly.I did it over a months time.I'd go up a couple sizes,and then let it heal.Then do it all over again.I got to a double zero.Which is still alot smaller than your labret.You must have an awsome pain tolerance.

LHD, i started off trying to stretch it, but I was getting too much scar
tissue build up etc, not sure why, some people are just prone to it, so I
just had it whacked in there at that size. Looking back I honestly ask
myself how I did some of things I did when I was younger, I could never
do them now! haha.
Ok, so I've been thinking really hard about my hair and what I might have
done and I remembered an 'incident' just after I first put it in, I had
washed my hair and it was still damp and I was super tired so I did that
thing where I thought 'oh, I'll lie on the bed and just close my eyes for a
second' and i woke up the next morning nicely rested with a mess of
tangles on my head. I'm wondering if that was enough to ruin it. Whether
because it was damp I sort of dried the tangles into it and it just never
recovered? What do you guys think? I think its at least possible...
Dunebug, if you take your labret ( sorry forgot the name for the thing thats in it) out, will it return back to normal size or is it like the ear, once its bigger than 1cm it never gets smaler?
I've always been interested in this kind of thing dating back to african scarfification and things you see :)
Sorry, I don't have anything to put in about the hair! I don't think falling asleep on it wet could create tangles, though - there's got to be another problem. I've let my hair airdry several times, including overnight, and it's still just fine. Maybe leave-in conditioner could help you?
BUT, just wanted to put in, with a scalpelled hole, whether it's an ear or a labret, the process is literally removing the tissue. It won't ever return to normal size without surgery.
(I'm in awe as well - my ears are stretched to 00g and I had enough of a hard time with that!)
Oh no, you dont remove tissue. That would be a dermal punch, and isn't a
good idea for your lip because you really really don't want to mess up the
muscle structure. Mine was scalpeled horizontally. Just a straight line with
nothing removed. But no, it would never shrink. If something is stretched
you can shrink it back up to a certain point, usually after about a 0ga you
are looking at something more permanent. But you better be sure about
what your doing when you start cutting holes because if you change your
mind it's off to the plastic surgeon for you! haha.
