I recently put in my first bonded extensions.  I used liquid glue on wefted hair.  It felt fine at first.  But after a few hours it felt like my head was in a vise.  I'm ready to try again but would appreciate input on how to do it right.  Thanks!

WOW well to be honest/my personall opinion, glue/bonding wefts to hair/scalp is not a good thing. The reason why you had issues is because its not good (personal experience too), a lot of ppl have had allergic reaction and of course damage. But if you really want to do it again, be VERY careful. Use just enough glue, dont get it on your scalp but close to it as you can get the wefts, dont leave in no longer than 1-2 weeks and when removing use the glue remover for that bonding agent. Do not pull or you will have serious issues. Good luck!

Ive wore bonded wefts for a LONG time with LG. Any extension method feels tight at first and a little uncomfortable, but I dont recall it ever being painful. If its painful then thebadestbaby could be right, it could be a reaction or maybe the glue method is just not for you.  Its nearly impossible to not get any glue on your scalp, as it seeps through the hair. LG is a long lasting bonding glue and I generally have always worn them for 6/7 weeks, sometimes longer.

The protac is easy and I have experienced NO discomfort whatsoever, and wayyy simpler than glue bonding. I would highly recommend the tape over the glue.

Selina: sounds like maybe it was applied too close to your scalp?

Ive had the LG bonds stuck to my SCALP and never experienced excruciating pain like Selina mentions. Yes tightness at first for a few days that might be uncomfortable (maybe some people would call painful) but NEVER feeling like my head was in a vice...thats bad!

Selina, just wanted to mention that yellow is really difficult to read!

Gah, no yellow ever again!

Maybe you have some sort of allergy?  Ive had some tightness and slight pulling before, but never any real pain.

Thanks for the advice, ladies.  Sherrie215, I've seen your installs, and they're gorgeous.  If you say that the Pro-tacs are comfortable I believe you.  I'm off to buy some now.
