Ok Im on my third protac install. Im using HH hair from Ebonyline.

http://www.ebonyline.com/shwp2224.html

On my second install I cut the tape in half and just used the bottom half but the wefts (WAWA synth) just fell right off after 24 hours.

This time I cut the top half in half and still did a fold over just not so big and it dosnt show through, even on the very top row. As it grows out it might begin to show but for right now its doing great.

The top pic is how I cut the pro-tac.

Now about that hair: Its really nice hair. Kind of dry but not very tangly. I usually dont have trouble with HH hair until after the second wash so we'll see. I did order that spray that Amm recommended--Velvasil--so I hope thats going to keep it silky and tangle free.

So far so good on this one, will update more later.

anxious to see how the pro-tac holds up for you this time, as well as how the velvasil works :)

Yeah, sounds interesting, I just did an install using some half tapes, and it
seems like I could only put one weft in there, doubling it up was causing
some problems, and I had a few fall out from the doubled up wefts with
half tapes. So I did something similar to what you did, cutting it just a
wee bit smaller, and so far, so good.

Let me know how the velvasil works too!

UPDATE: Ok I washed yesterday. The pro-tac, as usual, is holding beautifully. This hair is doing very well. Im totally surprised. I wased it with my Tea Tree Oil shampoo and used conditioner from the neck down. After toweling dry, I used Neutrogena Silk Leave in Conditioner Creme and blow dried. Its doing great so far. Im still going to try the Velvasil when it comes in and Ill let you know how it does.

Today was a windy day. Gusts up to 50 mph and this hair did great, Im very excited that I might have found the right hair for me, we'll see as time goes on.
