UGH! I'm SO mad    I ordered pro-tac strips from shrink***  on Friday afternoon. I received a message from paypal that my order was cancelled due to damaged package.          I was gong to put my extensions in today since I'm off work .....  I still havent' received an email back from Shrink***   in regards to the message I got.

Anyway, my question is has anyone ever used just bonding glue? The guy at this beauty supply place I called said most around here don't carry any extension products such as the glues or bonding stuff. The only thing he had was plain ole bonding glue.

Any input on this?   Thanks!!!    Sheri

Was it the laxtex glue? If it is, I would not recommend using it. Waiting for
the pro-tacs will be well worth it.

As far as other glues, not sure. Latex is just sent from below

HI Naked!

I went ahead and picked some up last night, glue, and just looked at the bottle .... yeap, it's latex glue by Proclaim. I didn't have time yesterday to do the extensions so I didn't. Thanks for replying ......  I've read some good things when looking it up BUT I'm nervous to use it for fear when I sweat it'll gum up. I never did get a chance to reply when you asked me if which method I used would really effect which method I went with (I'm an EMT/Firefighter) ... It would effect the length of time the hair would stay in, due to putting my fire helmet on.. which I don't do that often...  also sweating.  I'm thinking of after trying the strips using fusion but not sure I want to do all that work myself

Thank you for all your help! BTW  LOVE the color of your hair. do you have any pictures of you closer up of your hair?  would love to see them. Thanks.  What method do you use?

So I'm really glad you didnt use the proclaim. Some have mastered it,but to say its hard to get out of hair is an understatement. You could try Liquid gold.I actually prefer it myself over protacs because its less detectable. Its alot messier to get out than protacs(those came out and left nothing behind). But orange oil takes it out easily.

Plus LG is cheap Like $5 for a big bottle. There is another glue Called ChrissyV.But its like $40! I havent tried it myself. But it got really good reviews from people who have hair bonding down to an art.Good luck.

Yeah, I wasn't really in the mood for dealing with a gloppy mess so I thought it be best to wait......  I'm getting SO impatient though

I've been considering the liquid gold because I have thin hair... I may do protac on the bottom and liquid gold on top to bond the wefts. Were do you get your liquid gold for that price? So many decisions ...     I guess I'll just have to try a few differnt methods. YEARS ago when I had the tracks with sew in I liked it because it felt secure BUT it did itch like crazy so like I said I'm going to try a few different methods before going back to that.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it

Sheri

I use Protac WITH Liquid Gold glue. Stays in great! Have you tried the  seamless hair?

Yeah, the proclaim is what I used, HORRIBLE. It stayed in nice with all the
sweating and stuff of my workout, so that was nice. Everything about it
was good, except getting all the gummy stuff out of my hair, that was the
worst experience of my life! Pro-tacs are awesome, go with those.

Hi All.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.  Upon preparing HairLOCS, I accidentally trimmed the preglued shaft too short, and need to add a bit of adhesive to the tips again to stabalize the individual extention.  Does anyone know what bonding material is used, where I may acquire it, and do you know if there is any special technique used to reapply it ?  I look forward to your assistance.  I would like to salvage the 3 bundles that I trimmed too short :-|

Sunny So. Cal :-)

Um, Sheri? We exchanged emails about this and this is the message you received:

Note: Cancel First Class shipping label and reprint with Priority shipping label.

I responded to your email within hours and told you I had switched the shipping from first class to priority. You wrote this back:

Thank you for getting back with me so quickly, I appreciate it!

Have a great day
Sheri
