New anchor ear tuck

Is it my imagination or have more female news anchors been tucking their hair behind their ears than ever before? Some seem to do it every day. Others do it periodically. Every network has them. Even locally in the Detroit area anchorettes with hair behind their ears seem to be increasing. I guess it's a matter of convenience? In any case, it's not an improvement.
