I agree w/R2D2inoz.  For me, I love extra virgin olive oil, jojoba oil, coocnut oil, and castor oil.  But I hated grapeseed oil and some other oil I have tried.  Basically keep experimenting.

I don't think that everyone has the same results with everything, we may have similar hair textures but we are very different as individuals.  Not only do we have different grades of curliness our hair is in different condition too.  For one person who says "this has become my staple!" another person wills say "it turned my hair into a brillo pad!"

The key is to experiment with different oils and find something that works for you.  I tend to stick with castor and olive oils myself for pre-poo but other oils for other things such as moisterizing.  I know its hard to resist being puzzled when something does not work for you and yet you see huge threads with the rave reviews for the same ingredient.  If you look at the sticky about oils above you'll notice that the range of preferences is quite wide.

On this and other boards. A lot of you all mix oils in conditoner and other products to acheive soft hair. My question is have any of you have success with growth and moisture with them by themselves or mixed together? If so which ones? I have tried a Jojoba oil, Olive oil and shea butter mixed together and it made my hair dry. Then I tried Castor oil mixed with coconut oil and it made my hair moist and soft. I really wanted the First mix to work out because I like the sound of it. I have tried Carrot oil, grapeseed oil and vitamin e and nothing special happened with my hair. I use the different oil combos  daily. I tried to use them (it did not matter which combination) after a wash and my hair was brillo pad hard all the time. I even used a  moisturizing creamy leave in before I used the oils and still brillo pad hair. Am I doing something wrong or is the quality of the oils canceling out the benefits of each other when I mix them? What can I do? I do not want to use grease or spray sheen because it weighs my hair down and things like s-curl mango butter and stay so fro gives my hair a gummy text. I am 4a/b natural.
