In order to maintain healthy hair? For me it was my Micro Braids. I had them on and off for three years but had to part with them because of the breakage. I loved getting them because all of the different styles you can do with them and you did not have to do anything with your real hair.

i think i'm going to part with micros....they are making my hair terrible!
Hair Type- 4a/b *transitioning front of my head*
Length-ranges from 5-7 inches =)
Products- Garnier Fructis S & S Poo, Lustrasilk Shea Butter Mango Conditioner and Cantu-Leave in =)
Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!
Not flat ironing my hair as much was hardest for me. Also my cornrows. You would think they would be healthy for the hair but whenever I take them out my hair sheds like crazy! It feels like I'm loosing so much hair and I hate it.
Any type of individual braids, let it be micros, pixies, etc. It messes my scalp up and I've known this for a while but I'm hardheaded and stubburn sometimes . But this was my last time though. Therefore no more individual braids for me!
Same here. It was hard to give up individuals because they were so convienent. I would give that up any day to have and maintain healthy hair. I definitely not going there anymore.
