I couldn't be more pleased!!  I can't wait to get them razored.  I have in 2 full wefts of wawa, sandwiched all up the back, and half way up the sides, then near my crown I just bonded the weft with the liquid gold.  I;m glad I only did a couple of those.  I have a fare amount of those fine little baby hairs and they wanted to get glued too....But still, both the bonded and the protac are very comfy and easy to do.  My neck is a little stiff already from all this hair, but I'll get used to it.  From beginning to end it took a little less then 3 hours, with a couple breaks inbetween..I am really suprised that I used both wefts, it seemed like SO much hair.  The colors(#2 & #33 Wawa) are perfect for me when layered.  I put the darker on the bottom of each sandwich and the auburn on the top, then at the top I did 1 row of just the dark brown, then topped it all off with the bonded auburn.

I think when I shower I  may break my neck...maybe hubby will help ...

Should I keep using the pureology stuff, or can I use a less expensive products?  Should I just treat it like hh?

Thanks to everyone, you've been super helpful!!

Amanda

I'll post em after the holiday....They are shedding more then I expected??  And they are very tangly??  I haven't washed them yet, and when I do I'll use a fair amount of conditioner, hopefully that'll help.  I've been using an ion leave in conditioner from Sally's and that helps for a bit.  I was also thinking of trying the fabric softener thing?

I also tried to curl it this morning...I have no idea what to do with LONG hair   I finally gave up, maybe I need a hotter curling iron, mine is from the dark ages when the 1inch+ sizes came out.

Thanks again!!

Hey Amanda. What I found worked the best on Wawa was using a squirt bottle with plain water to brush out the hair. I did have to brush out the Wawa more frequently or it got bunchy. Razoring the heck out of the ends helped some too.

Are you wetting the strand of hair before wrapping it on the curling iron? Wawa needs to be wet to curl. And it takes a little longer to curl. But it will keep the curl and wont wash out. I found that velcro rollers and a steamer did wonders.

Also the key to the curl, is that the curl has to cool in position. So if using a curling iron you need to clip the curl til it cools. With hot rollers or you need to leave the rollers in til cool.

Thanks for those tips, Sherrie.  I just put in WaWa with protac myself as well ... must be going around!

Amanda, mine is tangling a LOT today, too.  :(  I was able to curl it okay with a spray bottle and my curling iron, but it was more of a wave.  Maybe next time I'll try clipping it until cool and see what that does for it.  I'm in love with the price and the colors - if only I can figure out the tangling!

lwray...I agree, if I could only figure out the tangling!!  It is driving me nuts!!  I could brush it every five minutes!!  I braided it last night thinking that would have to keep out the nots...nope.   I showered this morning and washed it for the first time and conditioned the heck out of it.  I'm also going to pick up liquid downy today and see if that helps.  otherwise, I will just take it out and order bohyme.

On the up side, I love howquick the pro tac went in.  I also love how nice bonded weft feels.  I'm thinking if the wawa works out, I'll go and get it razored and maybe have her cut a couple inches off.  It is really heavy and my pony tail is pretty thick.

I did try to curl it using my spray bottle.  I just think either I didn;t let my curling iron heat up enough, or it is just too old to do much.

Have a nice tangle free day

Amanda
