I'm currently trying to shrink fibriod tumors prior to removal.  My dr. asked me not to take any vitamins or supplements during this time, as alot of them are laced with hormones and will make fibroids GROW.  I know this is a big problem for black women..... Have any of you heard of this??

Unless the vitamins contain soy (which contains a compound that mimics estrogen), I haven't heard much of this.  I think evening primrose oil may fall under this also.  But listen to your doctor.  Or get a second opinion.

Corrections:  I did a search on EFAs and I see it helps with the symptoms of fibroids.  BTW is your doctor a male?

My ob/gyn is a female, 40's. I will listen to my doctor.  She was the third opinion.  Thanks.

Please just disregard, if you have no concerns...
