QuoteReplyTopic: What is a drabber? Posted: May 10 2006 at 7:57am
so im looking at this thing here to recolour your hairpeices, it seems very kind to hair but what is a draber? i've never heard the word used in my hairdressing before :S
"A drabber is an additive that is used in permanent haircolor to counter
the red/orange that can show up when lightening your hair. It is usually
added by the capful. When an ash shade is still leaving hair with warm
tones a drabber can be added and this will help cool the color down."
Also its a term recognised by FreeDictionaryonline as:
Drab´ber
n. 1. &n bsp;One who associates with drabs; a wencher.
....but I chose to go with the first meaning!!! \
Edited to cut and paste the info rather than the linky.

kate here in the us i've seen "drabbers" which are basically things you add to haircolor to pull out the brassiness. basically like the purple shampoo but you add it to your haircolor.
