QuoteReplyTopic: Sew in method that doesnt cover natural hair?? Posted: June 04 2006 at 10:12pm
Im also getting more and more curious about sew ins :)
My original plan was to use microlinks and go strand by strand, but the sew in weft idea looks easier to care for lol
Just wondering which sew in method doesnt cover up your natural hair? Im really only after 10-15cm of length but also want to be able to tie my hair up in high ponytails without the extensions being seen. My previous experience with wefts wasnt a good one as they were pretty stiff and the edges "stuck out" of my natural hair :(
Would i be right in thinking pinchbraids would work?

With the sew ins I just got you could still wear your hair up.
They leave an inch border all around your head plus about 2" each way
from the part of your head. I actually think it will be better,
since I won't have to have the little pieces stick out when I tie my
hair up. The wefts cover the braids really nicely too.
Wearing 22" 8oz Tease I tips installed with silicone microrings.
I have 4 tracks and and 1/2 track on the top. I did not get the last track too far down on the nape of my neck and I can wear it up without it showing. I have about 1 1/2 inches out on the side and top. I curl my hair with a flat iron all over after drying and you cant see the track at all or tell it is extensions
