Hey everyone!

I currently have my natural hair bleached and an install of JetSet hair in #613.

Lately, I have been debating darkening up my hair a bit.  Not too much, maybe to a dark blonde or a very light brown and accent it with some blonde highlights.

A couple problems:  I will be dying the hair while it is installed with LG.  I need to dye both my real hair and my extension hair.

First, has anyone tried to dye JetSet hair and does it take color well?  I tried darkening up his and her hair at one point and oh boy what a mess!

Secondly, if anyone has any advice, my natural hair is SO bleached out the it too doesn't take color very well.  Sometimes, if it does take the darker color it turns to a lovely shade of grey, lol!

Any suggestions??

Sorry...haven't bleached jetset... but I have colored it... just got finished washing my hair after coloring....hopefully is is the color I wanted.... I colored it last week and it took the color..... but I still wanted it redder...sooooooo....I am fixing to find out if that happened as soon as I dry it......but as far as I can tell.......success with coloring on ones head and taking color.....but bleaching might be another story... but me being the impatient person I am....... I would try it.
BUT..... I would ask someone with more experience.
Thanks,
JeepGirl

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!

Hey, you anwered my question, thanks!

I don't need to bleach, I just need to color.  SOrry if I didn't explain it right.  My hair now is bleached, but I was thinking of going a tad darker as I am SO blonde, lol.

I may just actually try putting in some lowlights instead of coloring my whole head.

Thanks for the input!

i've recently gone through the exact thing you are describing for your own hair...(i've never colored extension hair).....to get my own hair less blonde i first did a protein treatment (i used Aphogee from Sallys), bought a color filler from Sally's  ( i used a gold one because i wanted a more golden shade) and followed the bottle instructions to mix it with a demi permanent color (i used Sally's Loreal Color gems in golden blonde) and it came out exactly as i wanted........years ago i had gone to a salon to get lowlights and they did the 'lovely shade of gray' thing to me..........gag i sound like a advertisment for Sally's, but yeah, all the stuff's thereWink
