how to get this hair style!

 

 

 

i want hair like him! my hair is current in the picture below!

(me at grad)

 

im going to have to grow it obviously but how long?

 

in the pictures his hair is wet from sweat and i think if my hair is longer it would look better that way, but how can i get it to look shiny and wet but at the same time fell limp not hard like with gel?

 

also any tips on day to day treatment for it like what types of shampoo to use and that kinda stuff would be good to!
