QuoteReplyTopic: HELP!!!! Newbie to Wave Game Posted: August 02 2006 at 3:48pm
Recently after sporting the afro and braids for 5 yrs. i decided to go with the ceasar. I am a mix of N. African and White with thick thick curly hair or as some people refer as "good hair." After reading all of the beginning instructions on how to get waves. My daily routine for the last week is
MORNING: shower/wash hair put 360 wave grease in brush for 1 hr./put wave cap on
DURING DAY: Every hr. brush for 10 min.
EVENING shower/was hair put 360 wave grease in brush for 1 hr/put wave cap on
Until how long should i expect to wait until i start seeing some signs of waves? Or any suggestions that I should do? I can provide a picture of how it looks right now if you guys can tell me how to.....

a week or so. seeing that u got "good hair" lol...u should jus brush. dont u 2 much pomade bcus ur hair would be easier to work with. get some carrot cream(hollywood brand, i like that personally n its lite), i shampoo that moisterizes( brush strips nutrients from hair if u brush too much, n a good conditioner( speeds up the waving process. pomade will help a bit n give a good shine but its brushing and a good moisterizer that makes the difference. make sure u got a good wave cap
You will probably see results when you hair gets longer because of your hair type...your hair curls at a longer length but your method is good just keep brushin.
dam, yall....thanx for the quik replies......im currently at day 3 and here are some pix for yall....please post any suggestions!
i am mixed too and my hair is somewhat similar to yours (thick and very curly) but i suggest u let your hair grow out more and cop some S curl activator ( its blue in a jar and u can find it at Walgreens, Rite Aid, or pretty much any Black beauty supply store). Apply that ish and add some pink lotion after and let your hair curl up and brush it down and i think u be aaight.
forget about the pomades for now. They be makin peeps break-out and they aren't to good for your hair follicles.
