Hi again
I thought maybe someone can give a answer to this question since I cant seem to get much answers to my other question. Maybe Im just asking the wrong questions

Since I have used this born blonde my hair is orange/yellow very bright color.
Im thinking about going to sallys- are the employee's trained to give advice? I mean if I walk in there with this hair would someone there be capable of helping me pick out the products I need to rid of the orange/yellow and pick the color that I want for my hair?

Thansk again
Have a nice day

I go to Sally's all the time and some of the people who work there do know about Hair products but alot of them do not. I would call them and ask if they have some one there that is trained in cosmotolgy. Best Wishes!!!

I agree with mustbcrazy. The people at Sally's have general knowledge. Usually from whatever training they get there. But they are deft. not experts. Unless you happened to get lucky and find an expert at your Sally's. Your need a color expert. Is there an Ulta around your area? If there is, and they have a salon on the premises, they usually have someone at the salon that would be able to advice you on what to get.

Good luck and much love,
Shary

Hi
Thank you for your response it is greatly appreciated.
I called the sallys nearest my house and the lady I spoke with is a hairdresser, THANK GOD :) Anyways she told me to come up in the morning and she would be there to share her wisdom:)
I decided to go ahead an go up there but I am also going to the salon in the morning to get the mess on my head fixed.
Im going to be prepared for the next disaster I come across, (well with my hair anyways) lol

Thanks again

Usually ash colors kinda rid you of an ornagey/yellowish color. I had the same problem with my blonde hair exspecially in the summer, and always colored it an ash/champagne blonde.

I tried asking for help at ulta years ago when I had brassy botched highlights. They salon employees said they could not advise me in any way on store products. Which makes sense. They would rather make money on a 50-100 color or highlight job than a $5 box of hair color.

You could also try asking the people at Clairol. Although I have always used Loreal,I find the costumer service at Clairol to be much better. They have a website where you can instant message with a haircolor professional. Then the color specialist called me on the phone and told me step by step how to fix my hair. (I also called Loreal and that lady merely told me to go darker, which I didnt want to do cuz the color was already so dark, and she really didnt ask me any important questions either) At Clairol they ask you exactly what products you used, for how long, and what tones are in your hair. Then she asked me what color I was aiming for,and assisted me from there.
She was so much kinder then a salon would have been, and way more HELPFUL then Loreal was.

Hi
Thank you
I will give them a call, I went to the salon yesterday and she put a filler to lift the color then put a dark blonde in my hair with the cap in streaks.
When she took it off my reaction was OMG it didnt work because it still looked yellow, well then it dried and she said wait a day or two and if you dont like it come back in and she will do something else.Well heck Im not connecting with this color AT ALL! It basically looks ligter than it did when i went into her salon, the crown looks so light. And my brows certainly stand out because they are so much darker. Anyways I think Im going to try it on my own but gzzzz I dont want my hair to fall out either ,the stylist said that my hair was in good shape when she looked at  but all through the process she kept saying that area was more damaged than this area and that is why it is harder pulling it through the cap:( what?uhhhh Im think she was a lil to off her rocker or something , it just didnt make any since. VERY STRANGE.Anyways Im going to look at the site you sent.
Thanxs again
Steph

Hopefully they can help you. I just had a MAJOR hair disaster and I did everything they told me~and my hair looks great! I wish I had called them before and I couldve avoided this whole mess. When you go to the site, you want to go under "speak to a color consultant now!" and then you can instant message with them.Otherwise, just call the tollfree number.Best of luck to you!
