well, like many other people I have this annoying acne that won't go away. I actually don't even care about the pimples that pop up now, but the acne scars really suck.. I have it really bad on both of my cheeks.

I've read some threads about this but all the people who recommend stuff I've never even heard of or seen and I'm just completely lost. I've tried ProActiv for three days but I think it made it worse.. pimples started popping up in places I normally dont get so I stopped using that.

main problem for me is the scarring and blemish. if anyone can suggest anything effective for this I'd really appreciate it and try searching for it to the best of my abilities.

Thanks.

to treat acne ive been there its really not that hard u have to start by going gentle and avoid all the chemical based products on the market.

I used cetaphil cleaner and moisturizer
i took micheals skin factors for teen and adult acne 3x a day you can buy this online.
and then after cleaning and moisurizing my face i applied a tea tree oil base that is made for acne, and 6 mths later it was all gone!

Now scars will fade in time if there just red or you can get some fadeing cream AFTER u have cured the acne, if they are ice pick scars like little holes nothing you can do for those but see a derma doctor and have dermabrasion or laser treatment or collagen injections.

best of luck.

I hope so, I don't have the 'ice pick' scars but just the red ones on both of my cheeks. I dunno if they're fading at all though because I've had them for about three years now.

Thanks for the advice, although it seems kind of complicated to gather all those products. but I'll try to get them anyways, thanks.

I can totally relate. I'm  29 years old and started getting acne at 27.
I gotta tell you though, most products will make acne worse before it gets better. Why? because it is getting out all that old acne underneath the skin that you cant see.
However,Proactiv never worked for me either.
Unfortuantely, the only way to not get those scars is to not get the acne. I highly suggest going to a dermatologist. Sometimes you have to go through some of them before you find a good one though,so DONT get discouraged. I went to 3 before I found my savior.
Acne often doesnt respond to just one treat ment since there are many things that cause it. I was put on Differin gel,3 months of tetracycline anti-biotics,and a alpha hydroxy-like face wash called Neo strata.
It took about a month, two months, but my acne is gone and has been for almost a year.
Yeah,it seems like a pain to apply the differin gel everyday~but to not have acne it's worth it. The differin gel also builds collegen which helps with those scars.
