I loved the one that just aired. The part when she went to get her makeover. You could tell that wasnt the kind of salon that did plain boring styles. It was just so funny when the stylist was like yeah I'll make you look just like the picture, lol.Plus I get so fired up about the snobs she has to work with
I have LOTS of secret juice on this show. One of my friends who is a celebrity make up artist worked on the show for the pilot. America - the star - is apparently a problem child with a huge ego. She went and got hair extensions (human hair) put in and then berated the hairdresser who toiled for hours to work with her natural hair (which is naturally curly) and make it look great with the extensions.
Then she called the hairdresser on the phone and gave him lots of attitude and called him out. I know both the makeup artist and the hairdresser and if they were doing my hair and makeup I would look drop dead gorgeous and be licking their feet in gratitude.
Needless to say the makeup artist and hairdresser both quit and refuse to work with her at all. Also, they had to close the set for a matter of days and rewrite because of problems with America.
She is a raving prima donna who is in the process of ruining her career. She is also famous for showing up late, late, late but believing because she is the "star" its her right.
Needless to say...thousands and thousands of dollars of hair extensions were ripped out of her head after just a few days because of her temper tantrum about them.
The worst part? The extension hair which was the highest quality was custom colored and designed for her....were cut off and thrown away. The hairdresser was horrified.
Yikes. I guess that's why they call it Hollyweird sometimes. :-)

Yes....I hear about lots of drama from the various hairdressers and makeup artists that work on the set. Of course I keep their names confidential unless of course they have already quit or decide to leave TV.
For example....on the Las Vegas TV show there was a lot of fighting amonst the female stars. They all wanted to look the best...so there was a constant turnover of hairdressers and makeup artists.
The thing about the set is that it is hard for prima donnas to hide their tudes and because everyone works so hard (18-22 hours days) and get paid not so great (only the big stars make huge money) the hairdressers and makeup artists don't stil around when they are mistreated.

oh i really love the show and my kids do too ( i love the girl that plays ugly betty's sister especially).........but i love knowing the inside dish on her...and ummmmm, how else do you pronounce her name 'America'??
i also havent seen a pic of how she looks without the ugly betty costume on, is there one out there.......oh, and dont people become divas at a young age now? that used to be a term for once a woman had really arrived and shown endurance of her fame and success
wow i like the show too! but i wonder if it will last for long if she asks like that. what movies was she in before? i guess i live in a bubble was i never heard of her(america) or saw her. and how is the proper way to say her name. isnt america just pronounced america? anyways yep i am pretty sure she is in a wig. there are a few times when it looked crooked or she kinda moved her eyesbrows and well i am not sure how to descirbe it but it didn't look right. so is this show a spin off of the devil wears prada?(guessing from the other post)... since she is a diva i wonder how she feels playing the character that she has. when she acts it does not show through at all

Yes...they do become divas at a very young age. The things I have heard about Lindsay Lohan although I have talked to Paris Hiltons stylist and her celeb hairdresser and they both say she is really a very nice girl and the media blows her way up. But Lindsay, according to the inside scoop is definitely suffering from Diva-ism.
