i would look for a nonsulfate moisturizing shampoo and then a moisturizing conditioner....as an el cheapo, i like Creme of nature shampoo (the green label bottle) and neutrogena triple moisture conditioner
also, to take care of my clip ins, i only shampooed them once a week or less if i didnt wear them every day

I always used a good shampoo that I use on my own hair such as Aquage . Since I color my hair often, I would save some of the conditioner that came with the coloring kit and use that on the wefts. A good deep conditioner works well. I even colored my wefts with semi perm hair color and they look terrific! Most of the time though since they don't really get oily, i didnt find that I needed to wash them very often. Usually I would rinse them out, apply a light conditioner and restyle them.

Just a tip: I found a great way to blow out my wefts by hanging them on one of my bathroom drawers and shutting the drawer so the clips were on the inside but the hair was hanging on the outside. Then i would blowdry them just like I was blowing out someone elses hair. I did them one at a time and it worked out great!

It depends whether the clips are chinese or indian remi.  Normally chick stay away from shampoos and conditioners with protein in them if its indian hair cos it can make it poof.  If you're not sure what hair it is stay away from there.  Normally any shampoo will be ok as long as you have a good conditioner and always blow dry clip ins straight from wet with a heat protector to get the best result till you wash them next time.  They will last a lot longer than air drying and then straightening.  I recommend Goldwell red top shampoo and conditioner.  The written rule is never use a 2 in 1 with extensions x

ok thanks for your input!! i've bought cheap (99p) stuff the day from boots (just for my own hair) but it smells so good i would love to use it on my extensions! it is coconut and almond oil for dry hair. is there any ingredients that i should be careful of? i have used this stuff before it is really good and keeps your hair silky soft!! should i buy a spray in heat protector? i usually use a smooth thru cream

Yeah chick, when you have racoon asian hair extensions they tell you to either buy their products or stand at the supermarket going through every bloody shampoo and conditioner to look for protein, I think the chemical name is panthenol.  I had extensions at the same salon for 5 years and got quite friendly and the extensionist told me that on Indian Remi the protein made it poof xx

I would use that shampoo miss wilson but get a nice conditioner x

No not at all chick, if the hair doesn't feel the same the thing to do is not try to get the comb through it, just get some new shampoo and conditioner.  The worse thing you could do is try to get the comb through, it won't repair itself once its stretched x
