Has anyone tried acetone?  I think I'm feeling like an experiment.

I had some LG that was dried up.It wasnt rock hard but it was to the point where it didnt move.So I tried regular old nail polish remover.I used just a little bit maybe  1 tsp for half a bottle.I waited like ten minutes.By that time it was somewhat gummy again. So I worked the remover that was sitting on top of the LG into the rest of it.And it did the trick.I was able to use what was left in the bottle. And it held just as good as new LG.So yes  acetone works.I thinks its a matter of not adding too little or worse too much.

thanks for that tidbit of info LHD. Ive never tried it. I may have to try that as I have a few old partially used bottles (I find one tucked away in my stash every now and then)

I just wanted to let everyone know I added pure acetone to the liquid gold, let it sit like instructed but was having a problem getting it to mix.  So I grabbed a wooden shish ka bob stick and started mixing with it, added slowly while mixing to make sure I didn't over add.  Sat the bottle in hot water a couple of times to loosen it up and It's just like new.  Clap

Glad to hear it's restored back to good health.

LG can get into the threads on the bottle while it's being used so always take an acetone soaked cosmetics pad and wipe the threads clean before putting the cap back on. An airtight seal will keep the LG from hardening in the bottle.

Thanks Amm, I've started doing that, it wasn't the newest stuff when I bought it in the first place.
