    Posted: December 07 2006 at 12:04pm

hey wavers wuts up? a lil prblem....well, i dont overly brush my hair but in saying that my hair waves up real easy. anywho, i brush my hair when its wet and i brush in all the products, i use a moisturizer and dax pomade (ive tried carrot creme but my hair felt dry the next day). neway, i use a stocking cap coz my hair lays down better with that. i have no problem with actually getting a wave pattern in my hair, some need straightning up a lil, but my biggest problem is, my hair always looks real dry when i take of da cap. i see some of ya'll have that nice silky wet smooth look goin on. i jus need to know how to get that. dax pomade doesnt have GREAT hold either. i'm from the U.K and i'm comin to NY this weekend, and while i'm out there i was gonna get some good hair products to help me wave better, coz i knw we dont get all the stuff u guys get. so if u knw any products that'll make my hair reeeeeaall soft and manageable, and gimmie that silky shine, and any pomades that have great hold, let me knw. (oh yea ive also tried lets jam....it doesnt do a thing for my hair).

btw du think that pro line barber select regular texturizer will do the job???

yeah I was wondering that too. But my hair is comin in kinda coily I guess so its probably never gonna be like that for me huh? I tried lets jam as well and it gives it a lil hold and has me smelling like a bag of skittles but thats about it. Dax in a red can should work better? I mostly see a lot of people refer to the one in the green can...but I guess I might go to the store and cop both.

Try some murrays. I believe it has the strongest hold on the market.

k i'ma see if i can go out and cop sum murrays or da red dax or da scurl pomade (can u post up a pic of da dax red)......One other thing that always baffles me (maybe its da same issue of not having enough hold but,) i see how most of ya'll cap up at night and in the morning you take it off and brush again. i tried that a couple times and all it did was mess my hair up, so i usually just take off the cap an leave my hair as is.

oh yea...and what du think is da best moisturizer, bearing in mind dat carrot creme leaves my hair dry? oh yea and also Scurl activator, du use that instead of a moisturizer or instead of a pomade, or is it kool to use it while using the other two??

i knw i got alotta q's but hey...u guys are da ones wit experience lol

Oh no. CC makes your hair dry? I know exactly what type of hair you got. Thats like mine but the funny thing is once you get waves CC is all you'll need for moister and shine. My hair eats water and products.

I got a question for you. Whats you nationality. This might help us know what kind of hair you got. I'm nigerian and my hair was hard to tame but now they look crazy.

thnks for that u guys....ermm as for my nationality, i'm 3/4 black 1/4 chinese, and i got a lil white in me frm back in the day lol. my hair is pretty much straight. thats why when my hair gets a lil longer, sometimes when i take of the stocking cap i have random lil hairs that just stick up. i wanna post up pics of my hair but it aint workin for sum reason.

i just got my hair cut to a level 1.5 and the waves underneath were a lot more visable. i did notice something tho, on my right side the waves are deeper and a lot more visible than on my left side for some reason.

du think a texturizer like the one from barber select will make my hair more manageable, and easier to wave, especially when it gets a lil longer? its not a texturizing kit, it comes in a can like dax. oh yea, and is SCURL as effective as they say, like will my hair start to curl after the first use or will it take a lil longer.

Alot of time if you use a nylon or cotton cap it will suck all the moisture out of your hair. You may want you use a polyester or a silk like cap.
