distance learning course such that I can learn some of the pro hair stylist knowledge?  I don't mind taking exams and reading lots of stuff I find it very fascinating.  The thing is I already have a career and a job (in the third world no less) but I'd like to be more skilled for caring for my own hair and doing color and possibly one of these days extensions if my hair samples will arrive...The main other bonus would be being able to buy pro products without having to resort to ebay.

So anyway, is there anything like that?

BTW, I know there are many pros here and please don't think I'm being completely idiotic but I'm living where there are actually very few salons and so far none of them have been pro quality as we see in the states.

I'd happily give my money to one of you if you lived here :)

Ok, so is that my impossible dream?

I don't know about any official licensing courses online (are there any???) I doubt there are.
But there is a plethora of tutorials online that can be a super big help!
I can only name a few I am sure other people will add more;

Butt loads of info here ->

And of course looking around on this forum should help.

You can by training heads at most suppliers online.

Alot of us here are DIY'ers, it's actually pretty easy!

Hi Stacey WC !
I recommend you to have a look on Sherrie's forum, hairextensions101, you'll find a list of tutorials too!
I think you can pretty much make your on education online on certain topics like which are the good hair extensions companies, what are the different methods, how to apply fusion, how to apply protac.
I have learnt everything throughout the web, so I am sure you can make some progress on your own!
Also, you can try to make some research on different topics on the board by using the "search" thing on the top right corner, I have used it many many times, very helpful!
Good luck and good luck with your carrier, wherever you are!

Enjoy!
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.
