sure its possible. There is a girl on myspace that makes her own clip pieces with leopard prints and coontails (stripes) let me see if I can find the pictures. They are very cute.
She actually did a little tutorial on making them. I was going to post a picture of the coon tails too but it looks like the pictures are no longer available

That's a nice little tutorial, Sherrie, thanks for posting that! I have to admit I never would have thought of using celery!
I do quite a lot of painting of leopard prints, tiger stripes etc, myself and I do all mine freehand with a little brush. Mostly I make clip-in fringes (bangs) etc. I also paint leopard spots on some of the synthetic dreads I make, and instead of using hairdye, which obviously won't work on synthetic hair, I use a fine tipped permanent marker pen. It takes ages, but looks really effective.
