Yeah it really works I have tried it.

I have heard that blonde colors fade less quickly with grey hair (I may be wrong,if I'am someone will be sure to correct me) or maybe it's just that blonde isnt as noticeable when the roots grow out or something.
I have been using semis and permante on my hair in darker colors to go back to my natural color and they fade fast after 3 weeks.

The best thing to do is a soap cap/color depositing shampoo with it.  Similar to a bleach cap.  See: MakeupAlley Member Center - arvlyn's notepad co-wash aspirin toner color depositing bleach cap bleach bath shimmer lights

Also, you can leave out the developer if you want the least damage.

My hair is greying so I have to use a permanent colour. My question to all of you is how often do you have to refresh your colour and how long do you leave it on your hair. Do darker colours last longer than blonde colours. I am trying to learn how to cause the least amount of damage to my dry wavy hair. Are there any hair colours that dont fade out? Thanks
