I have wavy hair and I have found that Blowdrying it straight works alot better than straighteners. Less damamging too.

Hi All,
 
I'm currently disappointed with how my hair straighteners are working. They don't seem to be able to last the complete evening on some occasions, and i don't know whether it is my straighteners or technique used. i have looked at several websites with the best being these two:
 
 
 
So i have come on here for some guidance really:
 
1/ In your opinion do these websites offer good advice of which i should follow.
 
2/ I have a reasonably good straightener at the moment, but should i look to really get a top of the range model.
 
3/ Just leave my hair alone, and be curly
 
 
Any advice would be appreciated
