My natural color is dark ash blonde or light brown with some gray.  I highlighted and bleached my hair for years then decided to go brunette last fall.  I had it done professionally, but it was reddish.  I corrected it myself with Loreal Dark Brown.  When the roots grew out, I had trouble matching the color. I tried several Loreal and Clairol colors (Dark Brown, Light Ash Brown, Dark Ash Brown).  Eventually my hair had a lot of reddish tones and brassiness.  Today, I tried using Loreal Natural Match Dark Ash Brown 4C and it took the red out.  Yea.  My hair is pretty dark now, but I like it.
