Can someone help me with what type of glue stick to buy? My hairdresser is just starting to do fusion and she didn't use the correct type of glue stick. It has been maybe a little over a week and my hair is slipping. It seems the glue isn't hard anymore and is opening.
She has agreed to do it over, but I don't want her to continue using the same product since it doesn't work. I don't mind buying it and giving it to her since she does seem to have the technique down. I ordered glue stick singles from doctoredlocks.com perhaps fifteen minutes before I found this wonderful forum.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I actually think the glue may not be your problem and rather the application itself. If she is inexperienced then she probably doenst have the technique down. Fusion is a method that takes alot of practice BEFORE actually installing on an actual persons head. Slipping is common if you dont have a good bond.
You have to get the hang and the feel of it. You have to know how much glue to apply or heat to apply and you have to learn the technique for rolling the bond properly and forming a good bond.
The bonds not being hard may not be a problem. Most fusion bonds will soften a bit and feel more flexible, but they shouldnt feel soft or gummy/gooey or sticky. Also using the right products is important as well as keeping conditioners or some products off the bonds.
